Our destination will be Dades Gorges via the High Atlas mountains Tizi n’Tichka pass, visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou with guide, and we stop for lunch in a local restaurant, after lunch we will drive to ouarzazate, or what we call Hollywood of Africa since it’s has been as well a very famous destination for film makers, after ouarzazate we will continue to valley of roses, and you spend the first night in a Moroccan typical hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Dades Gorges.
Dades Valley to Merzouga dunes & Camel trekking via Todra Gorges
After breakfast, we will leave the hotel in Dades gorges than heading to Merzouga desert where will spend the night. However, before we arrive there we will visit tinghir and todra gorges, which will be our first stop, 45 km from Dades Gorge. We are going to discover the fascinating views of the palm grove of todra valley and the Jewish quarter. We will continue to the highest part of the gorge which is 200 metres above sea level. A perfect place for a coffee break and a short walk.
Afterwards we will reach the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga desert where we will arrive in time to watch the sunset. You will have the unique experience of a camel excursion in order to reach the desert camp and nomadic tents with all the facilities needed for a unique stay in the desert enjoying a memorable party with the Berbers drumming and singing around the camp fire and under the shining stars of the night in the desert sand dunes.
Merzouga Sahara desert to Fez through Ifran
In the morning, amongst the sand dunes, you will be given an early wake-up call to give you the opportunity to climb the sand dunes and watch the most beautiful Saharan sunrise. You will trek back to the hotel on the camels than you will begin your journey from the golden sand dunes of Merzouga toward Fes. The drive today will be a long one – it takes about 8 hours to get to Fes from the Sahara Desert, including stops for photos, lunch and rest breaks. Along the way, you will drive through many towns: first, we will cross the pre-Saharan plateau of the peaks of the middle Atlas and Errachidia, through the Ziz Valley – here, we will stop for some pictures of the Ziz Gorge. We will reach Midelt for lunch in a local restaurant there. After lunch, you will drive through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, stopping to see the Barbary Apes climbing up and down the trees. We will continue on to Ifrane which was built as a mountain health resort (5,400ft) in 1929. With the tiled roofs of its chalets giving it a distinctly European appearance, it is often called ‘Moroccan Switzerland’ – it also often gets covered in snow from December to March. After one hour driving from Ifran, we will reach Fes where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
