Itinerary

Depart from Casablanca and visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, known for its stunning architecture and location by the Atlantic Ocean. Spend some time exploring this architectural masterpiece before continuing your journey to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. In Rabat, visit the historic sites such as the Hassan Tower and stroll through the charming streets of the Oudaya Kasbah. After exploring Rabat, head towards Chefchaouen, a journey of approximately 4-5 hours. Arrive in Chefchaouen in the evening and settle into your accommodation.

Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring the town's souks, sampling local delicacies, and shopping for unique handicrafts and souvenirs than Journey from Chefchaouen to Fes, Morocco's cultural and spiritual heart. As you traverse the captivating landscapes, anticipation builds for the treasures awaiting in Fes's ancient medina. Lose yourself in the labyrinthine alleys adorned with vibrant textiles and aromatic spices, and discover architectural marvels such as the intricately decorated gates and mosques. End the day with a sumptuous dinner at a traditional riad, soaking in the enchanting atmosphere of this imperial city.

After breakfast we leave Fes towards Merzouga Sahara Desert, travelling through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, past Ifran and Azrou to Midelt where you will stop for lunch. Then we will continue, crossing the Ziz River and driving past thousands of sky-scraping palm trees and fortified kasbahs to Erfoud, and then on to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. Here you will venture into the desert on a camel trek to see the sunset and then spend the night in a traditional desert camp. You will have an authentic tagine for dinner, drink delicious mint tea, listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the breath-taking Sahara Desert.

Before sunrise, our camel guide will rouse you for an early start, leading us back as the sun emerges on the horizon. We'll pause along the route to savour the sunrise. Upon reaching the hotel, our journey proceeds to visit Arfoud's fossilized marble factory before heading to Touroug to explore ancient underground irrigation systems.
The adventure progresses to the Todra Gorges, renowned for towering vertical walls—a haven for climbers. After a brief hike to admire the stunning gorge, we venture to the Dades Valley through Boumalne, making stops for picturesque snapshots along the way.

Bid farewell to the Dades Gorges after breakfast, and we will continue our journey through the Roses Valley to Kalaa Mgouna where you will have the opportunity to visit one of the Rose Co-operatives and learn about how the locals prepare rose-scented perfumes based on distilled rose water.
We will continue to Ouarzazate through the Skoura oasis which is famous for its palm groves. Then we will stop for lunch at Ait Ben Haddou, before visiting the kasbah there which is a UNESCO world heritage site – this is used as a location for many Hollywood movies and for fashion and commercial shooting. In the afternoon, our road trip will continue through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n Tichka Pass, passing by many Berber villages with houses made from stone and mud. You will notice immediately that the way of life for locals here has not changed for centuries! We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
